 Read Dr. Khilfeh’s Biography ▼\nDr. Mohayya Khilfeh was born and rai
 sed in Nablus\, Palestine. After earning her medical degree from the Col
 lege of Medicine in Baghdad\, she returned to Nablus and practiced as a 
 pediatrician there from 1968–1989\, helping thousands of children. For
  many years\, she was the only pediatrician in Nablus and would often se
 e 60 or more patients per day.\nShe recently retired after practicing as
  a pediatrician in Chicago\, where she currently resides. Her medical ca
 reer included serving as Clinical Director of Humana Health Center at Ri
 ver Oaks in Calumet City and as chairwoman of pediatrics at Ingalls Hosp
 ital in Harvey\, Illinois. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pe
 diatrics\, as well as several other professional societies.\nDr. Khilfeh
 ’s philanthropy has supported causes throughout the world\, including 
 the Jerusalem Fund\, Friends of Nablus\, the National Arab American Medi
 cal Association\, where she served as president of the Illinois chapter\
 , An-Najah University in Nablus\, and others. She is a leader and commun
 ity builder who believes wholeheartedly in equal access to healthcare an
 d education and in nurturing the next generation.\n\n\n\nMusical Enterta
 inment\nThe evening will feature a beautiful performance of classical Ar
 ab music by Ronnie Malley and the Sumoud Collective. Ronnie Malley is a 
 Palestinian American musician\, storyteller\, producer\, and educator sp
 ecializing in the musical traditions of the Middle East\, North Africa\,
  South Asia\, and medieval Spain. The Sumoud Collective is a Chicago-bas
 ed Arab music ensemble dedicated to cultural resilience\, community buil
 ding\, and social activism.\n\nAbout the Center for Arab American Philan
 thropy\nRead About CAAP ▼\nThe Center for Arab American Philanthropy (
 CAAP)\, a national institution of ACCESS\, is a 16-year-old national com
 munity foundation with the objective of uniting and empowering the Arab 
 American community by demonstrating the impact of giving together.\nCAAP
  improves communities by having granted over $23 million to various caus
 es\, serves donors by providing smart charitable giving tools\, builds l
 eaders through youth programming\, and shapes perceptions about Arab Ame
 ricans by highlighting their exceptional contributions to society.\nProc
