2012 Grants
This year's grants aimed at assisting 10 grassroots Arab American organizations around the country. The grantees’ work includes assisting refugees, supporting student success and educating the public through arts and culture.In its fourth funding cycle, the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) distributed $53,000 for general operating support. Funding for the grantmaking was provided by CAAP's Professional Advisory Board members and other individual donors.

- Access California Services, Anaheim, Cali., $7,000, health assistance, education, employment Services, immigration and citizenship assistance, emergency financial assistance and more
- Al-Bustan, Philadelphia, $7,000, presents and teaches Arabic language, arts, and culture
- Alif Institute, Atlanta, $7,000, educational and cultural enrichment center
- Arab American Action Network, Chicago , $7,000, community organizing, advocacy, education, social services, leadership development, cultural outreach
- Arab American Association of Engineers & Architects, Chicago, $2,000, dedicated to helping its members succeed and advance in their professions by networking and interacting among each others through technical, educational, and social activities and events
- Arab American Association of New York, Brooklyn, $5,000, educational, economic and social services, workshops, teen empowerment and engagement programs, immigration assistance
- Arab American Heritage Council, Flint, Mich., $7,000, immigration services, tutors bilingual children, conducts educational workshops, hosts an annual health fair and an annual immigration fair and is active in diversity dialogue groups
- Arab Cultural and Community Center, San Francisco, $3,000, cultural programs, outreach and social services
- Arab Film Festival, San Francisco, $4,000, screens films from and about the Arab World that provide realistic perspectives on Arab people, culture, art, history and politics, working to contradict stereotypes
- Boston Palestine Film Festival/MECCs, Boston, $4,000, showcases the diverse and creative work of all filmmakers exploring both historic and contemporary themes related to Palestinian culture, experience, and narrative
